Moving Forward with Gall

Something I have been heavily contemplating is the role that gall plays in our day-to-day life. Especially as of late, with the eclipse in Aries around us. Gall’s role is one of importance, as gall releases us from stagnation. And stagnation keeps us in mindsets that are not productive to our long-term growth. Spring’s blooms rattles stagnation and calls for growth.

When I was in school, anatomy was always one of my favorite subjects. As I get older and see how our body parts really do play a part in our day-to-day interactions, I find myself amazed by how it all is really related. Gall is important as it helps in our decision-making, making tread on our goals, and releasing negative mindsets that make us stagnant. Drinking cacao lattes and eating curries has been effective in my own healing and releasing stagnant mindsets

So, on the astrology side a little, Mars and Jupiter both affect the gallbladder, but more especially to me, at least, Mars because it rules the hemoglobin in our blood, our essential life force energy here on earth. And Neptune is in Pisces, as it has been for some time, so it’s like a double dose. We have been in this dreamlike state, and that conversation comes up frequently lately in my day-to-day conversations. How everything feels so dreamy and mystic right now and at the same time we have to realize that at some point you have to get out of your head and into your body, really into it. Letting go of reason sometimes, which keeps us in our head ruminating over and over, and step into a more embodied state, a state of allowing your body to flow. Essentially freeing ourselves from our own minds, which is deep in its own right.

A song I like is by Sia, called ‘Bird Set Free,’ and in it she says,

“And I don’t care if I sing off-key, I find myself in my melodies, I sing for love, I sing for me, I shout it out like a bird set free.”

Under eclipses, it seems as if things just happen; you don’t even have to do anything extra, especially during a Mercury retrograde. And it’s always fun to see how astrology mirrors what happens in our interactions as well, whether we realize it or not. So with gall and any planets in Aries, including Venus, there is forward movement. We have gotten signs, seen signals, and all there is to it, is to do it sometimes, and get out of your head. Aries is associated with our brains as well, which I think speaks to how important it is to free your mind, and how this eclipse really is simply doing that – in the midst of the age of Aquarius and all the other fun things happening. I really do love this time of the year because spring reminds us that seasons really do change and there’s nothing to ever worry about.

Happy Aries Solar Eclipse.
